Lasting memories of Sally

Created by jolantajuszczyk 8 years ago
I've known Sally for 30+ years and also met her parents and her sister Ann. Sally and I worked together in (what was then) a wonderful British company, Glaxo. Our Control and Instrumentation section within the Group Project Department was a close knit and exciting set of people - we were meeting outside work as well. I went skiing to France with Sally and flew in a four seater from Denham Airfield to Luton airport just ...... for a cup of tea. It was fun landing on a main runway among the jet 'big boys', but it was no bother to Sally who put us down very competently.

Sally and I kept in touch despite changing addresses and jobs. Her earlier struggle with migraines, over many years, didn't stop her achieving a lot - she got her qualifications as a control engineer before moving to IT and was an accomplished sailor, ski-ier and pilot. She also delighted us with her roles in numerous amateur play productions.

She then met Paul and our joy in meeting her doubled, as we were also meeting Paul. They were such good company to be with. The Xmas we spent together at the charming Somerset Mount Hotel in 2014 will stay with us forever.

Dear Paul, this is also a tribute to you, your unwavering support, love and devotion to Sally. We are sure it had been a great comfort to her.

She will be missed by us very much.
