Sally and I were both working with computers and so we were early adopters of the internet which is where we met... on Compuserve. We must have been one of the very first Internet couples!

We had so many shared interests it was quite incredible!

So, after a few weeks communicating on-line we decided to meet up. I was living in Brighton and she in Broxbourne, Herts but I was race-marshalling at Brands Hatch on a Sunday so Sal said we should meet up after the racing.

At the time, Sal was part owner of an aeroplane and just for fun she flew it over Brands Hatch while I was there and waggled her wings at me. WOW!

We met up in the evening and, as they say, the rest is history
